About the Role
We are seeking a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join our busy team. You will manage an interesting, diverse and at times complex caseload, from pre-litigation matters to court hearings and those in other fora, providing practical, client-focused advice. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of civil and commercial disputes, including contractual and property (including leasing) disputes as well as other personal and civil disputes. Additionally, there are opportunities for experience in licensing work and appeals and other regulatory processes. There shall be opportunities for advocacy and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload under guidance from experienced senior colleagues.
• Draft pleadings, legal opinions, and correspondence.
• Represent clients in Sheriff Court, Court of Session and tribunals and committees and also in arbitrations and mediations.
• Liaise and work with Counsel and Senior Counsel when instructed.
• Advise clients on legal risk, strategy, and settlement options.
• Contribute to the development of legal processes and templates.

Requirements

• Solicitor Qualified in Scotland with a current practising certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland.
• NQ – 5 years PQE in litigation or dispute resolution.
• Strong advocacy, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
